We’re excited to announce new changes to the registration process! As you might of seen already, we’ve changed this process quite a bit as we have a brand new registration website and system. We have summarized the biggest changes to our current system and how it can affect you.
What is PawPass?
Transit Animals is partnering with PawPass to provide a new registration experience for our attendees.
PawPass is a event registration and check-in system built for mobile meetups. Attendees can register and manage their tickets through either our registration website reg.transitanimals.org or by messaging our telegram bot @transitanimalsbot (Ex: getting a QR-code to check in, RSVP information, and have self-service options like transferring or cancelling a registration). It's a simpler and more convenient way to host and manage an event, rather than relying on older more costly software. Pawpass is in the works to become open source.

So where do I have to register now? Telegram or the website?
Either works! You can register to our event by visiting reg.transitanimals.org or our telegram bot that allows you to sign up without using the website at all!
Are badges still free?
Of course! We are proud to continue providing badges to our attendees free of charge to anyone who registers! Not only is it a nice gift to commemorate our rides, it allows us to keep track of our attendees—making sure that everyone is safe!
How will picking up my badge work?
Just have your QR code that you got when you registered ready! That's all we need from you. We are currently working on a way to streamline the badge pick up process and will be announcing how our new revised badge pickup process closer to the event!
What is the registration cap?
We love seeing everyone’s excitement towards our FurRide. However, our top priority at our events is to make sure everyone is safe. Therefore, we will be monitoring our registration numbers and implementing a registration cap for our next event.
Can I still register on site?
Yes you can but we would appreciate if you did it before! This helps speed up the registration process for everyone and gives organizers an accurate projection of how many furries will attend! But keep in mind, we do have a registration cap. If we have reached our maximum capacity, you will not be allowed to join us during our event.
What do I need to complete my registration?
You would need either your Telegram account and/or email, preferred name and the name you want on your badge. It’s as simple as that!
What data will be collected from me? Is this information secure?
Data protection is our number one priority. One of the main reasons why we moved from previous solutions was to limit the amount of personal data you need to share with us.
All personal identifying information is encrypted end to end and has been audited by a third party cybersecurity analyst. We only ask for your preferred name, contact method (telegram or email), and information regarding your badge.

I don't think I can attend this event but I would still like a badge. Should I register?
Thank you so much for your interest but sadly we can no longer give out badges to those who have registered and doesn't attend. Not only does this affect our number estimates, it now prevents others who are interested in joining from coming due to the new registration cap.
If you realize that you can no longer attend, please cancel your registration to give a spot to others who maybe waiting for one. Getting badges after the event maybe a possibility in the future as a paid option.
What is happening with FurryPlansBot and the old website?
We realized that using two separate registration systems made the process confusing for both our attendees and organizers behind the scenes. Because of this, we are no longer using both systems anymore. If you have an account with our old registration website, it will be deleted.
